Robert van der Touw
I was born in Holland, and moved to New Zealand in 1990, after graduating from the School of Homeopathy. I started practising homeopathy in Auckland and taught in diferent naturopathic and homeopathic schools at the time. In 1995, I developed the three year course in Classical Homeopathy for the Hamilton Polytechnic. New Zealand ignited my passion for exploring the medicinal properties of plants. And since 1993, I involved many of my students and workshop participants in this reserach. Together with my partner at the time, Michelle Tappenden, we developed the Medicine of the Four Winds workshop program, as a platform for reseraching the medicinal properties of native plants. We used small scale homeopathis provings and shamanic techniques in our reserach. My deepening connection with ature opened me to my creativity. I created many photographic designs and music compositions.
Meantime during this transformative proces I created courses, taking many people into the bush to help them connect deeply to nature. In these courses and workshops, nature serves as a mirror for healing facilitating an expanding awareness of her multi dimensional aspects.

Robert wrote several self published books about his experiences with nature: The Sacred Web book and cards, The Rainbow Essences of Aotearoa, Homeotherapy and Quest for the Lost Gift. Together with Michelle Tappenden he created the music CD Songs of the Four Winds.
